Makin’ Jam with We Be Jammin’
August 8 @ 10:30 am – 4:00 pm
There is nothing quite like the bright, sun-ripened sweetness of homemade strawberry jam, especially when it’s crafted by hand using time-honored, small-batch traditions. Join us in The Classroom at Bellavenue Manor on Saturday, August 8th for a delightful, hands-on workshop led by expert artisan maker Beth McClure, owner of Meigs County’s boutique canning business, We Be Jammin’.
In this beginner-friendly workshop, Beth will guide you step-by-step through the magical process of water-bath canning. From perfectly mashing fresh strawberries and balancing sugar ratios to achieving a flawless pectin set and mastering high-altitude adjustments, you will gain the skills and confidence to preserve the seasons right in your own kitchen.
While our culinary creations simmer, attendees will be treated to a delicious, curated tasting spread featuring a variety of artisanal jams, jellies, and crunchy crackers to sample and enjoy.
